About the event
The Freewheelers typically meet in the Platzl at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings from May until late October or early November. We split into groups based on ability and desired riding pace for a ~2 hour mountain bike ride on Kimberley's amazing trail system finishing with refreshments at a local establishment. A 2025 Kootenay Freewheelers membership or day pass is required for all riders. Please see our Club Rides page for more information.
Our summer solstice Round the Mountain club ride is coming on June 18th! We will have several groups riding the Round the Mountain route, plus a group doing a regular ride from the Platzl.
Round the Mountain Rides (roughly in order of increasing pace):
Super-socials departing the Nordic Centre at 5:00, led by Peter.
Semi-socials departing the Platzl at 5:30 and Nordic Centre at 6:00. Led by Emilie from the Platzl to Nordic Centre and Alyssa from KNC.
