Race will continue to be by cash DONATION at the event all season
Riders must have a 2024 KTS trail pass and a current Kootenay Freewheelers membership.
How it works:
- Every racer will be given a SEALED ENVELOPE at registration. The envelope contains a card with 9 trails arranged like the picture. All cards are identical.
- There are trails of all ability levels therefore the event is open to all riders.
- All racers will gather at the start line and will be allowed to open their envelope to reveal their card.
- The race starts as soon as the envelopes are cracked opened.
- Each racer will have to come up with a strategic  plan to pick the fastest combination of 3 trails and return their map after completing a TicTacToe pattern on the card.
- You will gather stamps at the start and finish of your chosen trails.
- The order in which you ride the trails is up to you.
- All one way trails MUST BE RIDDEN IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION (ML3 for example)
- All bidirectional trails can be ridden in the direction of your choice.Â
- Bushwacking will get you disqualified.Â
- The 1st rider to return their completed card TO THE MARSHALL AT THE STADIUM will take the win!
- Expect to ride a variety of trails and to be riding for 10 to 15 km depending on your chosen route.
- You must be fast, creative and smart to win!!
- You can race solo or as a team; all team members must register and stay together at all times during the race. You can team up with your child, your best friend, your uncle, there are no rules.
- E-bikes are welcome.Â
